Provider Sales Representative

Reports to: 
Head of Sales, CEO

Troy, NY

VANTA Client is a fast growing healthcare software company seeking a highly driven Sales professional for sales to physician practices.   The applicant must be tenacious, and must have experience in healthcare sales. He or she should have an understanding of the challenges, trends and opportunities in the healthcare market and various stakeholders like physicians, hospitals, insurance companies and healthcare software vendors. The candidate must promote, and champion client applications to drive wide adoption.    

The responsibilities of the Provider Sales Representative include but not limited to:
  • Work with leadership and with customers to plan overall growth and adoption strategy and identify target physician practices:
    • Identify target physician groups to promote products
    • Prioritize and coordinate sales activities
    • Conduct software demos and presentations to target groups
    • Set end-user expectations and times regarding implementation plan
    • Maintain excellent communications and sound working relationships
Required Capabilities:
 
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong computer skills and working Healthcare Software knowledge
  • Work well in team settings, and know how and when to involve subject matter experts
  • Strong knowledge of the physician market in the upstate NY / Capital Region
  • Must travel locally and regionally
 
Minimum Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, communications, sales, or related fields
  • 3-7 years of experience selling to healthcare providers in upstate NY and the Capital Region
  • Completion of some entry Pharmaceutical Sales training or industry education preferred
