Carver Companies is continuing to grow, and we have a new opening for a Divisional Controller (Financial Controller).

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, hands-on individual to join a company which is quickly expanding and is offering exciting opportunities for career growth and advancement.

The Divisional Controller will be a strategic partner supporting the Divisional Leaders and CFO. The Divisional Controller will be responsible for reporting profitability and key metrics analysis as well as considering profit, cash impacts, growth and ROI, for one or more business units.

This position is located in Coeymans, New York. This is an on-site in-person position.

Requirements

Role Requirements and Responsibilities

  • Advise and consult with Divisional leaders and CFO regarding profit improvement and performance issues based on financial trending and other methods of analysis.
  • Develop and present financial forecast and sensitivity models to predict the financial impact on the Divisions and the company of various strategic decisions.
  • Develop and present cost/pricing models of various product lines.
  • Develop and coordinate the budget and forecast process, with continued monitoring of budget vs. actual.
  • Provide regular updates of the forecast to the Divisional leaders and the CFO.
  • Perform analysis of financial and non-financial key performance indicators, report on trends and provide recommendations for improving performance.
  • Design, develop and implement models and databases for analysis of management reports.
  • Design and implement systems/procedures to capture financial/statistical data as needed.
  • Contribute to positive Company branding by projecting a knowledgeable, professional, and customer-oriented image to internal and external customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, such as, supporting Divisional leaders and CFO with legal and HR matters.
  • Coordinate with Corporate Controller regarding cash impact of division objectives, to meet capital investment, growth and ROI targets.
  • Coordinate with Corporate Controller regarding billings, cash collections, spending and financial reporting.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelors and/or master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance or accounting, or similar degree highly preferred.
