Lead iOS Developer

We are actively seeking a skilled Senior iOS developer to join our Product Development team to build new features for our core product. In this position you will implement new integrations with external systems and build new features on our iOS-based iPad application. This role requires a solid ability to architect, code, and test applications for the iPad in concert with the CTO. You will have substantial responsibility and decision-making for the individual execution of new features along with close involvement in the design of new features and requirements.
As this app is the core of our business, a steady and careful approach is key.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
• Maintain and improve our iPad application in Objective-C
• Provide feature estimates, implementation plans, and suggestions app improvements
• Attend and participate in planning, stand-ups, and internal product demos
• Review and QA code from other IOS developers
• Assist the product and support teams in debugging any app-related issues
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
• Expert Knowledge of the iOS SDK
• Experience building native iOS applications using Objective-C
• Solid understanding UI/UX and how it relates to application development including wireframing concepts before building
• Must be able to analyze tradeoffs between design/implementation options and clearly articulate the solution options and technical challenges associated with each
• Thorough understanding of Core Data and how to process data efficiently
• Understands the application life cycle including publishing the to the App Store
• Strong understanding of security best practices at the application, network, and server
• Working knowledge of service-side development and APIs
• Experience with defining and implementing unit tests
PRIORITY GOES TO CANDIDATES WITH ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
• Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Solid understanding of Swift
• Experience building apps with a Parse Platform back end.
• Previous experience in web development
• Previous experience in mobile application design or ecommerce design
• Ability to wireframe and participate in the requirements gathering / product design process
