Your Role

As our first full-time Product Designer you’ll work on everything from ideation to specification to launch. You’ll work closely with our engineers and co-founders who deeply value user-centered design and design processes. We feel this is a tremendous opportunity where you will get to contribute to many dimensions of product. Specifically, you'll:

• Design our UX — deliver journeys, sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to guide feature development from start to finish
• Build and maintain UI systems and assets to ensure our product and brand is consistent and thoughtfully represented
• Collaborate with engineers on implementation — communicate design specifications and provide direction to ensure pixel-perfect delivery
• Talk to users — collect qualitative feedback and generate actionable insights. Our early target user is a millennial female who is a deal hunter and skincare enthusiast, but we'll be expanding to other product categories over time
• Help define our product roadmap and long-term product vision. Work with our CEO to ideate and envision future experiences that combine shopping, social, and mobile gaming. This is why this role is not a UX / UI Designer, but a Product Designer. You’ll be empowered to have a big impact on our product and company’s trajectory.

You Bring

• 3+ years of designing mobile apps, particularly e-commerce or social apps
• Strong visual design eye / skills — you have strong opinions about apps and your portfolio speaks for itself
• Fluency with mainstream design tools such as Figma, InVision, Zeplin, Sketch, Adobe Suite, etc
• Passion for shopping and interactive / gamified products — you'll become a social commerce expert if you aren't already
• User research chops — you dig to unearth what drives behavior using ethnography, generative interviews, and evaluative interviews
• An entrepreneurial, learning mindset — you’ll make quick decisions amid ambiguity. You’ll ship experiments, fail, learn, and try again
• Hunger / ambition to build an industry changing product used by millions and do career-defining work
